Application of the Momentum Kick Model to PbPb Collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV at the LHC

Abstract

Theoretical calculation for the PbPb collision data at 2.76 TeV center of mass energy from the momentum kick model. The blue dots are experimental data from CMS for various ranges of triger momentum and for two different rapidity ranges. The upper panels corresponds to ridge component and the lower part to ridge and jet components. Red lines are the theoretical results from the momentum kick model and they reproduce the experimental data quite well. The momentum kick process can describe the high energy heavy ion collisions properly.
