Photophysical Study of the Chromium-Doped NanoscaleTitanium Oxide System

Abstract
vspace{-0.3cm}We studied the photophysical properties of metal-dopedphotocatalytic materials active under visible light irradiation inorder to understand the operating principles. We synthesizedchromium-doped nanocrystalline titanium oxide by using the sol-geland the hydrothermal synthesis methods. After heat treatment forthe samples, we characterized their structures and basic propertiesby using conventional X-ray diffraction patterns, UV-visibleabsorption spectra and high-resolution transmission emissionmicroscope. The photoluminescence spectra in the visible region atroom temperature were taken to study the photophysical properties ofthe synthesized nanoparticles.
